Mean Boyfriend
Dear Guidance Guy,
I have a boyfriend. The problem is that my friends say that he is really mean. I'm going to peer mediation, but I don't know if that will help him. My friends claim he's mean, but every time I ask him, he denies it. What should I do? I tried talking to him. Who is lying: my friends or him?
Sincerely,
No Name Please

Dear No Name,
Hold on a minute - why are you going to peer mediation with your boyfriend? That's something you usually do when you're fighting with someone.
And why do you think he needs help?
And why do your friends say he is mean?
And what is he denying? That he is mean?
I don't think anyone is lying. I think everyone is telling the truth as they see it. But going to peer mediation with someone who is supposed to be your boyfriend is very unusual. He may not be mean, but if you're at the point where you need peer mediation, you really need to consider losing him as a boyfriend. Find someone else who doesn't need peer mediation.
Even better, be on your own for a little while and sort things out. The right guy will come along at the right time.
All The Best,
The Guidance Guy
