Low Cut Math Teacher
Dear Guideance Guy,
I have a math teach whom I hate. She's mean and she likes to pick fights sometimes with my friend. She dresses inapropriately almost everyday. She wears see through shirts and short skirts. And if her shirt is not transparent it's so low I can see her bra. I hate having her for a teacher and when my mom called about her she told her it wasn't her fault and she was given the job two days befors school started. I go to the other math teacher for help and I get it when I am with him. But when I'm in her class its just too hard to learn. She never makes anything fun and I have not come across a student who likes her.
We told the principal and he looked into it but so far nothing has been done. What should I do?

When you went to the principal, were you clear about what your complaints were? It's not enough to say you don't like the teacher, and it seems like you've got a real complaint about the way she dresses. That would be distracting for anyone. Nearly every teacher has a dress code about what they are and aren't allowed to wear to school. I don't think any dress code would allow a teacher's bra to show.
You said she doesn't make anything fun, but nothing else about her being a bad teacher. What else don't you like? It's good that you have another teacher who is willing to help you. Please understand you are lucky to have someone like that.
It's difficult to criticize a teacher for her style - especially a new one who's just learning the job. But you have a good point about how she dresses. Have your parents handle that one. If the principal won't handle it, maybe a letter to the superintendent or the school board might get her attention.
